Broom — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 September 2026 Effective date: 1 September 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and GURZ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ ("Broom", "we", "us"), governing your use of the Broom mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, ticking "I agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy", or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who may use the Service

3. What Broom is — and is not

Broom is a marketplace and technology platform that connects:

Broom is not a cleaning company and does not itself perform services. Providers and companies are independent third parties, not employees or agents of Broom. The cleaning contract for any booking is between the customer and the provider/company. Broom is not a party to it and does not guarantee the quality, safety, timing or legality of services, or the accuracy of provider or customer listings.

4. Accounts and roles

5. Bookings

5.1 Creating a booking

Customers select a service category, enter property and scheduling details, optionally choose a specific provider or company (or let Broom's matching engine assign one), and confirm. A booking is a request until a provider or company accepts it. If a provider declines, the request may be re-dispatched to others.

5.2 Price estimates

The app shows a price estimate before you book, which may be generated with the help of an AI model and/or country/category pricing. Estimates are indicative only. The final price is the amount shown at checkout and confirmed on the booking; it may change if the job scope changes. The price you see is the full price — no posting fee, service charge or subscription is required to book.

5.3 On-demand vs scheduled

"Book Now" creates an on-demand request for the earliest available provider; "Schedule" lets you pick a future date and time. Availability is not guaranteed.

5.4 Reference photos and notes

Any photos, video or notes you attach are shared with the assigned provider/company to help them prepare. Do not include sensitive personal data you do not want shared.

6. Payments, fees and payouts

7. Cancellations, refunds and disputes

8. Provider and company obligations

If you offer services through Broom, you represent and agree that:

You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint-venture or agency relationship with Broom.

9. Ratings and reviews

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement.

11. In-app communication

In-app chat and support messaging are provided for coordinating bookings and getting help. Do not use them to send spam, unlawful content, or unsolicited marketing. We may access message content to provide support, ensure safety, and enforce these Terms, as described in the Privacy Policy.

11.1 Objectionable content and abusive behaviour — zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not create, upload, send or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, that depicts nudity, or that depicts real-world graphic violence, and you must not stalk, bully, impersonate or otherwise abuse other users.

Every user can block another user and report a message or user from within the chat. We review every report, normally within 24 hours, and may remove the content, suspend or permanently remove the user responsible, and where appropriate report the matter to the authorities. Automated filtering is also applied to message content. Contact us at support@beclairiz.com about any content or user that concerns you.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Broom or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You retain rights in content you submit (profile text, photos, reviews) but grant Broom a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and use that content to operate and promote the Service.

13. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Stripe (payments and payouts), Persona (identity verification), Google Firebase (push notifications), OpenAI (AI price estimates, generated via our backend) and Google Maps Platform (maps and geocoding). Your use of features powered by them is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted, and your mandatory statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Broom and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

17. Suspension and termination

18. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; if changes are material we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence (for example, if you are a consumer in the EU/EEA you may also bring proceedings in your home country, and if you are in the United States your local consumer-protection law may apply).
